Moscow, October 19, 2022 - Dmitry Sauers, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprombank, took part in the business program of the Interpolitex - 2022 International Exhibition.

The 2nd International Digital Security Forum "Digitech" was held within the framework of the exhibition. The plenary session discussed the topic of ensuring cybersecurity and achieving technological independence in this area.

"We see that due to unprecedented challenges, there has been a turning point where digitalization is no longer a hype, but a necessary factor for security and technological sovereignty. It is now very important to make quick decisions and formulate new strategies. We have to build a kind of agile, flexible forms of cooperation between the state, business, and the public, to be able to respond instantly to technological challenges," said Dmitry Sauers during the session.

The discussion was attended by the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Mr. Maksut Shadaev, the Head of Information and Communication Technologies and Infrastructure Development Department of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Mrs. Tatiana Matveeva, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Mr. Alexander Khinstein, the Managing Director of National Projects of Rostec State Corporation Mrs. Anna Sharipova, the Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia German Mr. German Zubarev.

The development of the quantum industry in Russia was discussed at the Forum of Quantum Technologies "Quantotech", which this year for the first time was held at the site of the Interpolitex Exhibition.

During the plenary session, representatives of the largest Russian corporations spoke about some aspects of piloting projects using quantum technologies. The event was also attended by Mr. Alexander Shoitov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Vasily Shpak, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, who stressed the need to introduce quantum technologies in the field of critical information infrastructure protection and spoke about the forms of the state support for projects in this area.

"A quantum revolution is now taking place in the world, similar to the one that took place in the 1950s in microelectronics. What began as experimental research, thanks to the enthusiasm of scientists and investments by government and business, has turned into a giant industry. Currently we are at the same stage - the emergence of the quantum technology industry. It is important that in this sphere we do not need to talk about import substitution, Russian developments are at the world level," commented Mr. Sauers.

The Interpolitex-2022 International Exhibition of the Homeland Security takes place from 18 to 20 October in Moscow, at Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre.
